Biography

Leonora Kusari holds a key position at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), serving as the Manager for Advisory for small businesses in Kosovo and the Regional Coordinator for the combined program focusing on advice, finance, and innovation (BIP, SME F&D - Business Innovation Programme, Small and Medium Enterprises Finance & Development) in the Western Balkans.

Her work is central to EBRD's mission of fostering private sector competitiveness in the region by improving access to finance and providing crucial advisory services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Leonora oversees programs that support SME growth, digitalization, regional integration, green energy transition, and inclusiveness, with a particular focus on women and young entrepreneurs.

Under her coordination, initiatives like "Women in Business" have provided significant loan financing and non-financial support to women-led SMEs, contributing to economic growth and job creation. Since 2015, EBRD's advisory services in Kosovo, supported by donors like the EU, Luxembourg, and Sweden, have assisted over 1,000 SMEs and built the capacity of hundreds of local consultants.
