Biography

Klajda Gjosha is an experienced Albanian politician who served as the Minister of European Integration from September 2013 to September 2017 in the first Rama government. During her tenure, she played a key role in coordinating Albania's efforts towards EU accession, focusing on fulfilling key priorities related to administrative reform, justice independence, and combating corruption and organized crime.

Educated in the UK, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Politics and International Relations and a Master's in European Studies from the University of Reading. Before her ministerial role, she served as Deputy Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities (2012-2013) and held leadership positions within the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI), including Deputy Leader and Chairwoman of the SMI Women's Forum.

Post-government, she served as a Member of Parliament and Deputy Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee (2017-2019). She has since worked as a Senior Consultant on Partnerships with a UK non-governmental organization and has been recognized as an Ambassador for Peace by the Universal Peace Federation.
