Jorida Rustemi
Psychologist
Dr. Jorida Rustemi is a distinguished psychologist and academic leader, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Behavioral and Health Sciences at Barleti University in Tirana, where she is also a Lecturer.
Her career uniquely combines academic expertise with significant experience in human rights advocacy. Prior to her current role, Dr. Rustemi was the Head of the National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture (NPM) within the Albanian Ombudsman's Office, leading the national body responsible for monitoring detention centers and protecting the rights of individuals deprived of liberty.
She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Emporia State University (USA) and has teaching experience from both ESU and Barleti University. Dr. Rustemi is also a recognized public voice on psychological matters, appearing as an expert on Albanian television, including the panel of the talk show "Goca dhe Gra".
